From the time I saw Oak Brook Commons 19 years ago, I fell in love with the beauty of its landscaping and its spacious interior. It was the fall of the year and the drive in and the trees framing the building were breathtaking. I was thrilled to see that this view was also reflected in the dining room and living windows. To enhance the surroundings beautiful beds of seasonal flowers were planted amid well groomed lawns.
The inside of the apartment mirrored the the well planned and well-maintained outside. The large two bedroom offered 7 spacious closets including two walk-ins, plus an huge living room, a cozy dining room or den, a well equipped kitchen with spacious counters, a laundry room with hook-ups. The entire apartment was drenched in sunlight from the many large windows and the sliding glass door. For safety there were locked front doors and duel locks on the front door of the building door.
My apartment on the second floor also featured a nicely sized balcony overlooking the woods to spend many tranquil moments listening to and watching nature.
The apartments continually updated with newer ideas to increase its luxury appearance. Crown molding, a tile backsplash, new kitchen flooring have recently been added. Regular cleaning of rugs and painting of the apartment is done upon request within a certain time frame.
The only noise heard was often that of the maintenance staff hard at work. The absence of pets not only helps with the noise level, but with the cleanliness of the grounds.
The real asset to Oak Brook is the friendly, very efficient staff and owner. All make you feel welcome and make sure that your requests are handled quickly and correctly. They always greet you with a smile and are always ready to offer a helping hand. They are friendly, professional and respectful. The owner is on site and makes sure the complex he owns continues to be a community of homes for those who live there. For 19 years I have been extremely happy to enjoy Oak Brook as my home.
